The ArtTourYEG Series was made possible by the Downtown Walkability Initiative and the Department of Sustainable Development of the City of Edmonton. From modern cubists to contemporary rebels, some of Edmonton’s most diverse and controversial art is found in the heart of the city. Uncover the stories behind our love of quirky steel sculptures, tributes to over-the-top personalities, and sculpture we almost threw away. You’ll see inspiration from Picasso, charming neon signs from Edmonton’s past, and recognition of our loved-and-loathed Canadian geese.

The ArtTourYEG team wishes to acknowledge that the land on which we walk is Treaty 6 territory: the traditional meeting ground and home for many Indigenous peoples, including Cree, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Métis, and Nakota Sioux.

Enjoy the tours!
