The work of David Thompson is near and dear to Detarando and McArthur. Thompsons research and exploration predates the start of Canada; his efforts gave shape to the land and locations of our cities across this great country. He was well regarded by the First Nations peoples who gave him the name Koo-Koo-Sting, meaning Star Gazer .

Biography: Voyager Art & Tile is a collaboration between artists Brian McArthur and Dawn Detarando who have been designing and creating works as a company since 1999.
