SANDRA BROMLEY, SENTINEL2017

Location: 108 STREET BETWEEN JASPER AVE AND 102 AVE

Sentinel is a uniquely Canadian artwork about strength, diversity and inclusion. It is an artwork that acknowledges and honours our natural and our human history. It is made up of thirteen layers of stone; each representative of the geology of all the provinces and territories of Canada. The stone varies in type; half coming from traditional quarries, the other half from non-traditional sources (farmer’s fields, geologist collectors, historical salvage, etc.)
